Racketpack Festival Visits Suffolk
Pupils from 13 primary schools attended a very successful festival near Ipswich organised by Badminton England.

Stowmarket Junior Tournament
Stowmarket Badminton Club hosted a junior tournament with 94 players participating. The club also ran other junior and senior tournaments.

Grants and Kit Available to Clubs
Club Support Grants
Badminton England is keen to support clubs looking to develop and has grants available for any approved development plan.
Grants for 'No Strings' Sessions
Clubs setting up 'No Strings' sessions can receive a grant to cover the cost of the venue and coaching for up to 10 weeks. In addition clubs will receive a pack of rackets and shuttles. They will also get access to the new 'Discover Badminton' platform to promote and book sessions.
Grants for 'Racket Pack' Course
If a club sets up an eight-week 'Racket Pack' course they will receive a grant for venue and coaching costs. In addition they will receive a full starter kit and access to the new 'Discover Badminton' platform to promote and book sessions. Access would be given to a new online awards scheme.

"Ray Learney" Junior Team Challenge
Nine teams from clubs around the county entered the event which was hosted by Abbeygate Badminton Club in Bury St. Edmunds on 25th January.
A total of 55 players took part in under-12, under-14 and under-16 age groups. The winners were Abbeygate Badminton Club's 'Red Team'. Ipswich YMCA team won the 'One Minute Team Challenge' and the Players' Player Award went to Connie Adderson of Stowmarket Badminton Club.

Ladies and Girls Badminton at Stowmarket

Stowmarket Badminton Club are running sessions for ladies and girls at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre on Tuesday evenings from 8pm.
