If you are looking for a qualified badminton coach, or are interested in becoming a coach, please contact Trevor Davies (Suffolk Badminton Association Coaching Secretary) on 01787 374345.

 

Level 1 Coaching Course                                      Closing Date 17th January

Sunday 22nd February 9:30am - 6pm and Sunday 8th March 9:30am - 6pm.

Assessment on Sun 15th March 10am - 3pm.                       Venue: Ipswich YMCA (map >>>)

£65 subsidised for current members of affiliated Suffolk clubs; £195 for all other candidates.

The course is a UK Coaching Certificate (UKCC) Level 1 course (more information >>>).

Places limited to 10 people and will be given to first 10 received completed forms with payments.

( It is intended to run another course in Lowestoft but a dates have not yet been fixed.)

Are you a Level 1 coach hoping to do your Level 2 ?                              NEW

Steve Morley is looking for some volunteer help with his Saturday morning club in Brandon. The club gets about 18 people every week and caters for a wide range of ages and abilities. This is a great opportunity for Level 1 coaches to gain some valuable practical experience working alongside an experienced coach.  In the first instance interested parties should contact Steve by email >>>.

 

Coach Development Funding

 

Do you play regularly within a badminton club in Suffolk?

Are you keen to start a new badminton club within Suffolk?

 

Workforce Development Funding is available to those keen to develop as club coaches within Suffolk.

 

For a limited time a subsidy of 50% may be available on completion of a UKCC Level One or Level Two Badminton Coaching Course.

The Nancy Ovens Trust, managed by SkillsActive, is inviting applications for bursaries. The bursaries are aimed at supporting coaches and leaders from across the active leisure and learning sector in undertaking innovative training experiences that are beneficial to their career or voluntary activity.
