Suffolk Junior League 2008                 (Provisional arrangements)

Each team will be 2 boys and 2 girls. Reserves may be used but a maximum of 2 boys and 2 girls per match. Only players not graded by Badminton England 14 days before a match may play. If possible County Squad players should not be included in a team. If short of players we would prefer that clubs 'borrow' players from other clubs and only use county squad players as last resort.

Teams in each group play each other for positions. Between any two teams in a group there will be one boy’s singles, one girl’s singles, one boy’s doubles, one girl’s doubles and one mixed doubles. Each player plays either singles and level doubles or mixed and level doubles. Each team will get a minimum of 4 matches on each of the age groups.

Entry fee is £10 per team.                   All events will be at Copleston Centre  map >>>.

 

Under-17 Teams          Sunday 12th October 2008,  10am to 6pm.

Six teams played:

        Thorpeness, Abbeygate, Bosmere, Adastral Park, Stowmarket and Debenham.

Results and league table are shown below. Matches (rubbers) were 3 games to 21 points.

Players had to be born in 1992 or later (changed from 1993).

 

Under-15 Teams          Sunday 30th November 2008,  10am to 6pm.

Eight teams have entered and have been divided into two groups:

        Group A:  Thorpeness, Abbeygate, Stowmarket and Bosmere;

        Group B:  Adastral Park, YMCA, Southwold/Beccles, Debenham.

Each game the best of 3 sets to 21 points with no extension.

First in each group will play off, second in each group will play off, etc. etc.

Players must be born on or after 1st January 1994.

 

Under-13 Teams          Sunday 14th December 2008,  10am to 6pm.

Six teams have entered, forming just one group::

         Adastral Park, Thorpeness, Southwold/Beccles, Stowmarket, Abbeygate and YMCA.

Each game the best of 3 sets to 21 points with no extension.
