Get Back Into ...Badminton sessions have taken place in several local authority districts. Free taster sessions are followed by courses suitable for people with little or no badminton experience. Courses are being run in Waveney and Suffolk Coastal districts. It is hoped to arrange a further course in Mid Suffolk.

The Badminton Development Officer for Suffolk, Elaine Burrows, was successful in obtaining funding from the County Sport Partnership. The funding of £8510 for the taster sessions and to subsidise the courses is a major boost to badminton in Suffolk.  It is hoped many of those taking part will decide to join clubs.

Although the regional  “Get Back Into...Sport” funding is coming to an end, it is hoped that similar sessions can still be arranged.
